This pre-owned model features a 36.5mm stainless steel case with a 11.6mm profile, carrying forward the sharp, highly faceted Zaratsu-polished design language that defined Grand Seiko’s modern identity. The dial is inspired by Sakura-kakushi, capturing the poetic moment when cherry blossoms emerge through lingering spring snow, rendered in a delicate pink-silver tone with a dynamic texture that shifts beautifully in changing light. Hand-assembled at Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, it is powered by the manual-winding Caliber 9S64, delivering a 72-hour power reserve. The closed case back is engraved with the Grand Seiko lion, “Limited Edition,” and the individual serial number, underscoring its exclusivity and collectible significance.

Pre-owned Grand Seiko Collection ref SBGW289 (2022) celebrates one of the most important designs in the brand’s history while also showing off the artistry that has made Grand Seiko so beloved among collectors. This limited edition was released in 2022 as a tribute to the 55th anniversary of the watch that established the Grand Seiko Style in 1967. With only 1,200 watches produced worldwide, it’s a very prized collector’s item. Most notably, it features a nicely proportioned 36.5mm case. While many modern watches continue to grow in size, Grand Seiko chose to revisit the classic dimensions of the original 44GS. The dial is equally captivating. Inspired by Sakura-kakushi, or “the hiding of the cherry blossom,” it evokes the fleeting moment in early spring when delicate cherry blossoms emerge through a light blanket of snow. The result is a soft pink dial with subtle silver undertones and a richly textured surface that transforms as it catches the light.
