Pre-owned Rolex Datejust 36 ref 16013 (1985) sits right at an interesting point in the model’s history. Produced throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, it introduced meaningful upgrades while still retaining many vintage design elements. Most notably, it was powered by the caliber 3035, Rolex’s first movement with a Quickset date, which made adjusting the watch far more convenient than earlier models. At the same time, it also features an older-style acrylic crystal that gives the watch a unique aesthetic on the wrist you don’t get from sapphire. The black tapestry dial is stunning, adding texture with its vertical pattern and offering a bit more personality than a standard flat dial.
