The black dial is clean and modern, with slimmer hour markers and more refined sub-dials that give the watch a sharper, more streamlined aesthetic on the wrist. Inside is the updated caliber 4131, Rolex’s latest self-winding chronograph movement, which builds on the legacy of the 4130 with improved efficiency, finishing, and fewer parts. The ceramic bezel received an important update, too. It’s still highly scratch-resistant but now framed with a subtle steel trim that ties the design back to classic steel Daytonas. At 40mm with polished center links, it wears exactly how a modern Daytona should: sporty and contemporary.
