When Rolex introduced the Sky-Dweller in 2012, it was positioned as the brand’s most sophisticated modern watch, combining an annual calendar and dual-time display in a remarkably intuitive package. The catch? It was available exclusively in precious metals, placing it well beyond the reach of many collectors. That changed in 2017 when Rolex introduced the first Yellow Rolesor Sky-Dweller ref. 326933. By pairing Oystersteel with 18 karat yellow gold, Rolex made its flagship travel watch significantly more accessible while preserving the luxurious character that defined the collection from the beginning. What truly sets the Sky-Dweller apart, however, is the way its complications are controlled. Rolex developed the ingenious Ring Command bezel. The fluted bezel doesn’t just rotate for timing purposes, it is mechanically linked to the movement and crown. By turning the bezel to different positions, the wearer selects which function the crown will adjust, whether that’s the local time, annual calendar, or second time zone.
