Originally created in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Santos is credited as one of the first men’s wristwatches, and this modern 41mm version (released just last year in 2024) carries that pioneering spirit with unmistakable Cartier elegance. The anthracite grey sunray-brushed dial adds a sleek, contemporary feel to the square steel case, while the signature Roman numerals, sword-shaped hands, and visible screws on the bezel preserve the DNA of the original. This large model features Cartier’s quick-switch bracelet system, allowing for easy swapping between the steel bracelet and an additional strap (not included).
