At 47mm, this newer Panerai delivers the commanding wrist presence enthusiasts expect from the Submersible collection, but what makes this reference special is the technology behind the case. Rather than machining the case from a solid block of metal, Panerai uses Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), an advanced manufacturing process that builds the grade 5 titanium case layer by layer from titanium powder. This allows for a highly optimized internal structure that reduces weight without compromising strength. The result is a watch that feels surprisingly light on the wrist, roughly 25% lighter than conventional titanium and more than 50% lighter than steel. The sandblasted titanium case, blue ceramic dive bezel, and signature crown protection bridge give the watch that famous tool-oriented aesthetic.
