The 36mm Oyster case pairs stainless steel with an 18k yellow gold fluted bezel, creating the timeless dress-watch aesthetic Rolex perfected in the late 20th century. A warm champagne dial completes the design, here decorated with original Tritium hour markers and stick-style hour markers. The sapphire crystal marked an important upgrade over earlier acrylic models, giving the watch a more modern feel while preserving its classic proportions.
