This 2021 Rolex is true to the formula that has defined the model for decades. The black dial features the Explorer’s signature 3, 6, and 9 numerals, filled with luminescent material that emits a long-lasting blue glow in low light. Along with the Mercedes-style hands and simple minute track, the layout is all about clarity. It’s a design that traces its lineage back to Rolexes worn during the early Himalayan expeditions of the 1950s, when legibility and reliability were essential tools.
